The Zen Poet Coffee Shop will be located in the downtown Arts District of fabulous Las Vegas, Nv. This shop will have coffees, teas and sodas, waters, pastries, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads and soups. They will also be showcasing local artists and talents such as, painters, photographers, sculptors, drawings, singers, musicians, and poets. They will take on consignment and sell the local artists works, they will have open mic nights for the poets, singers and musicians and they will have books for those to read while enjoying the beverage of their choice. It will be decorated in retro style and a great place to meet, socialize, to relax and enjoy the art works and other local talent.
Everything that will be served food wise will all be made by hand and this is what will set them apart from all other coffee shops/houses. They will have an open door policy for both employees and customers to address their questions, comments or concerns. They care about their employees and customers and want their experience to be enjoyable and memorable. They will also offer gift certificates for holidays, birthdays etc.
They are on Face Book and you can "like" their page, but also they are on www.kickstarter.com and www.fundly.com as they are trying to raise $100,000 to get their business started and open. They need the money to get all of the supplies, furnishings, coffees, teas, food and pastry items, cookware, dishes, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, coffee pots, cups, pots, pans etc, as well as the rental for the building and also bringing the building up to code, to form and LLC, to obtain a business license.
The owners are John-Mark Stephens and his sister Dawn M. Hefley and they love giving back to the community in which they live in and they love helping local artists, musicians and other local talent. So please help them to get funded and open so that all can enjoy the local artists and talent. They are offering a sweet deal for those who donate $10,000 or more unlimited coffee, tea, soda, water, pastries, and other foods as our VIP members.Wow! Are they kidding? Nope they are not and that is not only a sweet deal but a great deal. No where have I ever seen a new business or entrepreneur offer anything like this, so why not jump on this and help them to get it going.
